Jonah's 9 month photoJonah had his 9 month check up this afternoon and all went well. He now weighs 18 lb 11 oz and is 30 3/8" long. She told us to try soft, smushy table foods with him as often as we would like and see how he does. We are also working on a sippy cup with meals and he is doing pretty well with it. He likes to hold it but doesn't usually make it to his mouth.
We've really been working on sitting up and he's doing pretty well with it. He sat in his crib for a good amount of time for him so we're making progress. He is getting to the point where he doesn't like to lay on his back for very long, he wants to be up where he can see more. I think this is motivating him to sit up more. He's taken more of an interest in playing with toys and really wants to be entertained.
He loves sitting in his walker and playing. He usually moves it backwards but he did go forward one time. He's going to be a heartbreaker one of these days! He LOVES to stand up and in the last few days has started to stand for several seconds holding onto something. Obviously he doesn't pull himself up yet but he is standing on his own in tiny increments and improving his balance.
